Art as Energy

detail from: South Cornwall, early summer

Visual art has been important to me since childhood and I have painted since then, sometimes with long gaps of many, many years. How things “look” has always mattered enormously, and seeing beauty has been a constant quest. Of course I haven’t looked for conventional beauty; not at all. I have craved something else. The beauty I look for exists in a myriad ways, all of which speak in their different voices. Click here to see some examples.

Recently, I have begun to aim specifically to express my work through the modality of painting, in a deliberate effort. I work to transmit the same energy I offer to those I work with, through my paintings. At the same time I aim to penetrate another dimension.

There is much more I could say here - but what I am describing is an experience. You have a chance to find out what I mean if you purchase one or more of the giclee prints I have had specially made of some of my pictures. Look at the paintings yourself. You can see them here.

A special exhibition of my paintings - "The Way I See It" - was held at the JM Gallery in London in November 2023.

I have also begun to sell original framed works. Please contact me if you are interested

Meantime please look at the giclee prints in my shop.

Recorded Art Interview - 'Art as Energy'

A couple of years ago, I gave an interview to the online journal, The Autumn Salon, which explored my view of fundamental and profound questions such as, 'What is the purpose of art?', 'What role does energy play in the creation and perception of art?',  'Authenticity in Art' and much more. You can listen to the interview here, introduced by my friend, arts curator of The Autumn Salon, Christos Vayenas:
